Flawless on the Diamond

Looks like the 7th ranked Tiggers from the upstate are coming to the Sarge to take on the #1 ranked Gamecocks (26-3) tonight. Interestingly, I think the last time they visited the capital city they were ranked #1 and we were a lowly #9. Isn't it amazing what sweeping both Florida and LSU does for your ranking? Especially when they were both formerly in the top 15, and you still outscore them by a total of 63-16 (31-10 vs. UF, 32-6 vs. LSU).

In other baseball news, the RiverDogs' home opener is set for tomorrow night featuring Darius Rucker to sing the national anthem on this Thirsty Thursday.

How about Spurrier's breaking ball?

Darius is about as bad as the RiverDogs..

Well spurrier was a three star athletic coming out of high school. I heard his brother in a interview right after he signed with Carolina, said he was actually a better basketball player then a football player. If our yard birds could hit a breaking ball we would have killed Clemson last night. That kid from Northwestern had us guessing in the early inning and then the closer was just throwing strikes and we didn't want to swing the bat.

Looked like we swung at some garbage on 2 strikes.. can't believe we left so many guys stranded.

I gotta give props to their second baseman though.

We didn't play our game, we had errors or hits that were errors but the NCAA is very generous on some calls, we never swong at the first pitch, usually a strike. Watched the fast balls go buy and swung at crappy breaking balls.
