The Summer of Dev
Welcome. I've created this blog to alleviate some of the intense boredom I have at my summer job. It's hard to describe what the actual Summer of Dev is, all I can say is that it's a 3 month long celebration similar to the festivities of Devember. As far as the blog goes though, I'll just be writing political rants, movie reviews, BURRITO recipes, sports topics, DevTheories(TM), and maybe an adventure or two from the summer. Thanks for reading.

I was in the lobby of the business administration building 5 minutes after the first plane hit. Not realizing the magnitude of what was happening, I continued upstairs to finance 345.
I was in the Carolina Coliseum, when my professor came in and told us what happened. Talking about a bad feeling, not knowing what was going to happen next. I remember talks of the end of the world, and people talking about joining the Military. Think about how much has changed in the past 5 years.
I was in my second year of law school at Carolina, about to walk out of my house to head to class -- and running late as usual.
A friend called my house, and for some strange reason I actually went back and answered the phone.
I told my friend that I was in a big rush, and he told me to please go back in my living room and turn on CNN. I did, and I honestly thought what I was seeing was either a commercial or some sort of look at an upcoming action movie. I think it was right before the second tower was hit, and it honestly took awhile before it sunk in that what I was watching was really happening.
Needless to say, I was glued to the television and didn't go to any classes. I had another friend who worked for Sen. Thurmond in DC, and I called him that morning. It sounded like complete chaos on Capitol Hill. They honestly didn't know what to expect next.
I will never forget the uncomfortable feeling of coming to the realization that a terrorist attack of this magnitude could and was actually happening right here at home, along with the feeling of not knowing what might happen next.
I was sleeping on the hall until I was awaken by J-rod. Fortunately, the world was coming to an end, so he got to live.
Joey, I was the one that woke you up. It took me a while and the look you gave me when you opened the door made me think that the end of the world was happening to me.
